Aim:

To develop an understanding of the direct mosaic technique.

Programme:

Overview of the direct mosaic technique. This will include a background to preparation of materials and selection of adhesives, demonstration of cutting techniques and a project scoping session.

Samples of mosaic art will be available to help stimulate students' creative design ideas.

After morning tea and following lunch, launch into your personalised mosaic project. Participants work at their own pace, supported by personalised tuition.

A grouting demonstration will take place during the afternoon.

Finish the day with the knowledge necessary to continue making exciting mosaic projects!
